What is Rakeback?

Every time that you play at real money tables at an online poker room a small fee is taken out of each pot. This fee is referred to as "Rake" and is usually 5% of the pot but never more than $3. If you are playing a lot of poker you will also be paying a fair amount of rake every month that goes straight into the pockets of the poker room. With a rakeback deal you will be getting some of the rake you pay every month back to your account.

If you for example sign up for a rakeback deal that will give you 33% rakeback at a poker room and you generate $1000 in rake during a month's play you will be getting $333 straight back to your account at the beginning of the next month. $1000 in rake may sound like a lot but if you are playing a couple of hours a week then you will easily reach this amount of rake during a month.
